Mughal tiles are known for their geometric elements. It’s no wonder, therefore that Ajrakh, a craft from those beautiful areas has also incorporated the designs.
Handwoven khadi khes from Morena was painstakingly transported to Ajrakhpur in Kutch to be hand printed by members of the Khatri Community. These were then tumble washed to soften and backed with Sanganeri Azo free dyed block print fabric. Piping of Zari fabric was then stitched for that extra oomph this heirloom khes deserves.
