As 2021 draws to a close, we look forward to working on our 2022 collection incorporating some of the key forecasted home decor trends for 2022.

Coloro and WGSN have announced five leading tones for the spring/summer 2022 season. Orchid Flower is the Color to Watch. The other colours that share space with Orchid Flower are Olive Oil, Butter Yellow, Mango Sorbet, and Atlantic Blue.

“Orchid Flower has an intense, hyperreal, and energizing quality that will stand out in both real-life and digital settings,” Coloro head of content Joanne Thomas said in a statement. “It is also versatile enough to work across seasons and continents.  

In a challenging time, this saturated magenta tone will be a great way to create a sense of positivity and escapism.” So we expect to see a lot of soft furnishing and statement hard goods in this beautifully bold hue. Atlantic Blue and Olive Oil are the other two colours that work wonderfully well in Bed, Bath Linen. 

The saturated blue tone that leans toward an indigo is perfect for artisanal, heritage pieces in home decor. It will be interesting to witness this intense colour palette come to life in home and interior design.
